2.0 Confirmation of Appointment
Client to provide confirmation by email and, in the case of building surveys, to write to the estate agent and/or vendor confirming the appointment with a copy, please, to peter@hogan.co.uk.
3.0 Details about Peter Hogan BSc(Hons) FRICS

4.0 Specific Information about a Property
Client to provide sufficient information to define the scope of the service eg including details of the property or works involved, i.e. not just the number of bedrooms in the case of building surveys
Client to advise any hazards prior to a property being visited
5.0 Typical Reports

6.0 Exclusions from Service

Inspection for and identification of asbestos is excluded
-
Inspection for and identification of Japanese knotweed is excluded.

Identification of lath & plaster ceilings is excluded
-
Damp and infestation will be reported where evident

Longevity of roofs and any other components is excluded

Identification of lead pipework is excluded
-
Measuring property areas (ie square feet) is excluded

Unsafe roof etc access

Determination of legal boundaries is excluded.
7.0 Charges & Terms of Payment
Invoices to be settled in full in 7-days (interest on outstanding fees at Bank of England base rate)
Minimum, interim, monthly invoices to be offered where an appointment is at or greater than £1,500 including VAT
Party wall services are based on “straightforward transactions” ie are otherwise not fixed price
8.0 Complaints Handling Procedure
Available on request
9.0 Retention of Documents
Documents are held on two separate hard drives and in confidence
10.0 Audit of Files
Files are retained in either date order or are available through searches of respective email files
11.0 Referral of Fees
No fee referrals are sought or accepted
12.0 Execution & Acceptance of Terms
A link to Hogan Limited’s terms and conditions are provided by way of a ‘hyperlink’ to each quotation
13.0 Cancellation Policy
In the case of building surveys, 25% of the fee is due if verbal (or e mail) instruction to proceed with a survey has been issued and cancellation from 24 to 12 hours
50% if within 12 hours
14.0 Liability
The company maintains public and employer’s liability insurance.
15.0 Professional Indemnity Insurance
The company maintains Professional Indemnity Insurance
16.0 Client Liaison
This is strictly and only by Peter Hogan FRICS.
17.0 Health & Safety
Peter Hogan is the Health & Safety Officer for the company.
18.0 Money Laundering
Hogan Limited does not receive, hold or distribute Client monies.
19.0 Data Protection & Confidentiality
No information is distributed without the approval of Clients.
20.0 Regulation
By choice Hogan Ltd is Regulated by the Royal Institution or Chartered Surveyors
